Staten Island Chamber of Commerce Announces "Sweep Staten Island" Volunteer Cleanup Day on September 29
The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce its upcoming community initiative, "Sweep Staten Island," a volunteer cleanup day set to take place on September 29, 2023. This event reflects the Chamber's commitment to fostering cleaner, more vibrant shopping districts in Staten Island, and encourages residents, businesses, and organizations to join hands in making a positive impact on the community.
The event is made possible by Con Edison. Donations have been generously provided by A-List Janitorial Services, Chick-fil-A, Global Containter Terminals, and the New York City Department of Sanitation.
"Sweep Staten Island" is an opportunity for individuals and groups of all ages to come together, roll up their sleeves, and beautify the borough. Participants will have the chance to engage in various cleanup activities, from picking up litter to maintaining public spaces, parks, and shorelines. This event not only promotes a sense of pride and ownership in our community but also contributes to the overall well-being and environmental sustainability of Staten Island.
