Chamber Hosts 2024 “Summer of Love” Gala
On June 21, 2024, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce hosted the “Summer of Love” Gala. The Woodstock-themed event was hosted at Nansen’s Park, and hosted more than 160 individuals from Staten Island’s small business and nonprofit communities.
The gala was sponsored by Age of Aquarius Sponsors Atlantic Salt, the College of Staten Island, and Empire State Bank, Groovy Sponsors Amazon, Con Edison, Doordash, Flagstar, and Northfield Bank, and Peace and Love Sponsors Angiuli & Gentile LLP, Richmond University Medical Center, Sherwin Williams, Spectrum Reach, and Tekie Geek.
Despite the heat, attendees danced and celebrated to the music of Cause and the Effects, a NYC wedding and event band. The band was sponsored by Dance to the Music Sponsor National Grid.
The event also featured several guest musicians, including Glen Cutrona, who performed Jimi Hendrix’ rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Danielle Wiseman of the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce also joined the band on lead vocals.
The event committee was led by Michele Esposito (Staten Island Chamber of Commerce) and co-chaired by Pamela DeRose (John Calabrese Financial) and Jeanne Sarno (Empire State Bank). The committee included:
