Chamber & College of Staten Island to Host Career Fair

The Connect for Success Career Fair, a new flagship event presented by the College of Staten Island Center for Career and Professional Development and the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, is set to take place on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. This event, which is intended to connect job-seekers with local career opportunities, will be hosted at the Staten Island Hilton Garden Inn, located at 1100 South Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Registered employers are invited to a special welcome breakfast at 8:30 AM within the Hilton's Tea House Garden. The breakfast will feature welcome speakers Dr. Timothy G. Lynch, President of the College of Staten Island City University of New York, and Linda Baran, President and CEO of the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce.

The Connect for Success Career Fair aims to bring together CSI's diverse student and alumni community, encompassing individuals from all academic disciplines, and connect them with employers who offer meaningful, career-building opportunities to the next generation of Staten Island's workforce.

This collaborative initiative underscores the commitment of both the College of Staten Island and the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce to foster local talent and strengthen the professional landscape of Staten Island. The fair is open to all College of Staten Island students and alumni, regardless of their major, as well as students enrolled in other City University of New York (CUNY) colleges.

For the 65+ registered businesses and organizations set to attend, the Connect for Success Career Fair presents an invaluable platform to showcase their brand, network with exceptional talent, and explore internship and job opportunities. Hundreds of motivated students are expected to attend, providing employers with a prime opportunity to engage with potential future leaders in various fields.

This event reflects the dedication of both organizations to nurturing talent and creating a brighter future for the Staten Island community. By bridging the gap between students and employers, the Connect for Success Career Fair is poised to make a significant impact on the local job market.
