The Chamber Celebrates its New Office Grand Opening

On Tuesday, November 15 the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce - alongside more than 100 members of the small business community, elected officials, and community organizations - gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Chamber’s new office.

The grand opening kicked off with brief speeches by Chamber President & CEO Linda Baran, current Chairman Frank Scarangello, and past Chairmen Michael Assenza and Glen Cutrona.

“This has been a long time coming,” said Linda Baran, President and CEO of the Chamber. “These post-pandemic times are when small businesses need us most. Members have always said that they’d love for us to be centrally located, and we have finally found that location.”

Several borough elected officials also gave remarks, including Borough President Vito Fossella, Assemblyman Michael Reilly, Councilmember Joseph Borelli, and Assemblymember Michael Tannousis.

“These past few years have been really tough for small businesses,” said Borough President Fossella. “The Chamber’s new offices allow them to do what they do best: serve the small businesses in our borough.”

“Selfishly, I’m happy to see the Chamber located here, in my district,” said Councilmember Borelli. “It’s great to see the Chamber in both the geographic and metaphorical center of the Island, right where it should be.”
