The Chamber Kicked off its 125th Anniversary at the 2021 Golf Outing

The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce kicked off its 125th Anniversary celebration with the Chamber Open Golf Outing on June 9 at South Shore Golf Course.

The in-person event – the Chamber’s first since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic – drew over 80 golfers for a fun day of networking.

After play concluded, participants enjoyed a festive dinner attended by over 120 people at the Grand Oaks Country Club as the Chamber saluted some of its former Chairs. Raffles, a 50/50, and a trip to either Walt Disney World or Vegas, provided by Casale Jewelers, were also held at the event. 

Recognized for their exceptional years of service, dedication, and contributions to the Staten Island business community were: Glen V. Cutrona, A.I.A. (2018–2019); Annamarie Gulino Gentile, ESQ. (2017–2018); Ralph Branca (2015–2016); Solomon Chemo (2013–2014); Rosemarie Scampas (2011-2012); Captain William Ferrie (2007–2008); Robert P. Bentson (2005–2006); Henry A. A hole-in-one contest on the 8th hold featured a chance to win $25,000, courtesy of Bentson & Company. Bentson & Company won first place in the best ball, team competition followed by JVN Restoration in second and the United NY Sandy Hook Pilots Benv. Association was third.
