Chamber’s Young Professionals host 14th Annual “Business By the Beach” Social

On Thursday, August 10, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional Group hosted their 14th annual “Business By the Beach” social at the Richmond County Yacht Club, where they honored Rob Myers of IDB Bank with the SICC Young Professionals Group Council Award for his longstanding leadership as the chair of the YPG. Kudos to event Co-Chairs, James West of Scamardella, Gervasi & Kasegrande, P.C and Eric Campione of P.A.C. Plumbing, Heating & A/C for planning an enjoyable night and laidback atmosphere.

The event, sponsored by Signature Sponsors Aqua Hoff Pools, Comserv Connect, Community Resources Staten Island, Eden II Programs, Gerald Peters, IDB Bank, P.A.C Plumbing, Rab’s Country Lanes, NonProfit Staten Island, Italianissimo Ristorante, SGK Law Firm, Staten Island Ferryhawks, and Tekie Geek, gathered over 70 attendees from the Staten Island business community.

The event featured an award ceremony honoring Rob Myers, of IDB Bank with Staten Island Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group Council Award. Rob had been a member of the council since its inception over 10 years ago. For many of those years, he served as Chair and was responsible for the groups programs and success.

The event also featured a night of networking for the small business entrepreneurs to mix, mingle, and build their business connections.

Congratulations to Co-Chairs Tatiana Arguello of Nonprofit Staten Island and Megan Baran on the initiative of the SICC’s YPG. Their goal is to involve and empower young professionals to become future leaders by providing personal and professional development opportunities through programming, networking, and civic involvement.
