Chamber Partners with Councilwoman Hanks for North Shore Clean Up Days

The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce once again partnered with Council Member Kamillah Hanks to assist eight civic associations with their efforts to clean and beautify their neighborhoods.

Over the course of several cleanup days, volunteers spread out across the North Shore of Staten Island picking up litter, weeding, and planting.

The eight civic associations that joined in the effort were:

  • Arlington Civic Association

  • Elm Park Civic Association

  • Forest Regional Residents Civic Association

  • Mariners Harbor Civic Association

  • New Brighton Citizens Committee

  • Port Richmond - North Shore Alliance

  • St. George Civic Association

  • Van Duzer Street Civic Association

“Clean neighborhoods are essential to the vibrancy and economic viability of Staten Island,” said Linda Baran, President and CEO of the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce. “We thank Councilwoman Hanks for her partnership on this cleanup initiative, and look forward to continued efforts to beautify the neighborhoods and business corridors in Downtown Staten Island.”
