Aspiring business owners can take the first step toward fulfilling their dream during a SCORE-Staten Island workshop to be hosted June 27.
Presented by Richmond County Savings Bank, a division of New York Community Bank, Member FDIC, the free “So, You Want to Launch Your Own Business?” seminar, will feature presentations by experts who will explain essential startup procedures for avoiding pitfalls.
Joseph M. Pane, a certified public accountant and SCORE Certified Mentor, and Boynton R. Weekes, president of BRW Franchise Consulting and an associate consultant with FranNet NY & NJ, will discuss a variety of topics essential to a productive business launch, including: The Myths and Realities of Entrepreneurship; What it Takes to Start a Business; Different Types of Business Structures; Components of Business Ownership/Legal Aspects; Business Plan Basics, and Deciding Whether a Franchise is the Right Opportunity for You.
The workshop will take place Wednesday, June 27, 9:15 to 11:30 a.m., at SCORE-Staten Island headquarters, fourth floor of the Staten Island Advance Building, 950 West Fingerboard Road, Grasmere.
