For over 100 years, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce has been instrumental in supporting small businesses and helping them connect with the community. This year’s annual membership meeting serves as a perfect example of this ongoing objective.
While ChamberCON is the one time each year Chamber members are brought together for a CONference, this year’s information-packed event will set aside several hours towards a Business to Community (B2C) showcase. During this time, members of the community are welcomed to attend and learn more about Chamber members and their offerings.
The annual affair is Thursday, Oct. 18 at the Hilton Garden Inn (1100 South Ave.) and the community portion takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. National Grid is the event sponsor while Con Edison, Partners in Sound, and Northfield Bank are partner sponsors.
The event is free for members of the community and serves as a great opportunity to hear from different specialists in banking, beauty, education, entertainment, healthcare, insurance, law, marketing, media, utilities, and more. Hundreds of people are expected to attend ChamberCON, and there will be over 50 businesses/agencies present with showcase tables.
The fun will be non-stop as ChamberCON will feature music, games, demonstrations, giveaways, and more. The community can play games such as Pick a Pop, Ring Toss and Fish Bowl. Also, there will be a chance to win raffles from several Staten Island Chamber of Commerce members.
Some of the members donating include: Chick-fil-A, Rab’s Country Lanes (Family Fun Pack which includes 90 minutes of bowling, shoe rental, a pizza pie and a pitcher of soda for up to 4 people), the West Shore Inn ($50 gift card), Amazing Lash Studio (free full set of lashes comp card valued at $250 plus there will be a prize wheel at their showcase table), M&T Bank ($50 gift card), NY Power Print (1,000 full color business cards), and Morey Piers (two water park passes). Applebee’s will award breakfast at two of their Staten Island locations, tickets for a free breakfast on Nov. 5, and they will have a prize wheel with BOGO breakfast certificates. Valpak will have trivia games at their showcase table, and the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce will offer a $410 credit toward membership dues.

About the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce
The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce was established in 1895 by a small group of Staten Island merchants and professionals “to promote the general business interests of Staten Island.” Since then, it has grown into the largest business organization on Staten Island representing nearly 700 separate businesses and 20,000 employees. Every major industry sector is represented in the Chamber’s membership, with businesses ranging in size from “mom and pop” stores to large public corporations.
