Once a decade, America comes together to count every resident in the United States, creating national awareness of the importance of the census and its valuable statistics. The 2020 Census is of significant importance and will determine the allocation of more than $73 billion in New York State alone, and relies on our community’s participation. On December 9th, please join us to learn about how the Census impacts business and the role New York City businesses can play in this upcoming 2020 Census.
The vitality of the local economy is greatly affected by decisions made using census-derived data. An undercount of our City will result in the loss of resources that our communities rely on every single day. In particular, census data can greatly affect the funding and operation of businesses and individuals including:
- Educational Institutions
- Minority and Women Owned Businesses
- Privately-Owned Businesses
We know that everyone has a role to play in getting out the count. This event will cover the importance and value of the Census and will provide information on how businesses can participate in getting out the count (GOTC)! The event will feature a keynote by a nationally-recognized CEO (stay tuned for more details).
