The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce recorded a big Wynn as the organization hosted another successful Annual Membership Meeting and Business to Business Showcase event at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Members were the true winners, though, since they had the opportunity to connect with their peers and provide information about their company or organization as over 50 businesses and agencies from wide-ranging categories were featured with showcase tables.
The annual affair attracted nearly 300 attendees who spent the morning strolling between the different showcase and information tables, all the while swapping business cards and contact information.
The Annual Meeting is a great mix of established and new members who came ready to spread the word about new offerings/services or introduce themselves. No matter how long they’ve been with the Chamber, members know this an ideal setting to help their business grow and possibly gain some referrals or leads.
One of the great things about the Chamber is the amount of diverse voices within its membership. That was certainly true as experts on hand included specialists in banking, education, entertainment, health care, insurance, law, marketing, media, utilities, and more.
President and CEO Linda Baran kicked off the festivities by welcoming members and thanking them for their support. Members also had the chance to stop by the Chamber’s showcase table to view a slideshow featuring a plethora of Chamber activities and initiatives from the past year.

Chamber Chairman Mike Assenza of Stat Land Security Services, along with Lauren Giordanella, Account Manager at NYC Business Solutions and a member of the Chamber’s Membership Council, cited longstanding businesses who achieved silver milestones with the Chamber in 2019.
Businesses who received plaques for reaching 25 years as Chamber members were: Children at Play Early Intervention Center; Comtel Information Services; Duo Plumbing & Heating Corp.; Eger Health Care & Rehabilitation Center; Golden Key Interiors Inc.; Healthcare Associates in Medicine; Kathy’s Kapers General Contractors, LLC; Lexus of Brooklyn; McDermott & Thomas Assoc.; Home Improvement Contractors of S.I.; Project-One Services, Inc.; Rampulla Associates Architects, L.L.P.; The Marina Café; The Naso Organization, LLC; Total Electrical Distributors, Inc.; and Trattoria Romana.
Garrison Wynn was this year’s keynote speaker and he delivered his speech to the membership titled, “What the most influential do differently.”
