YPG Hosts Panel Discussion at College of Staten Island

On Tuesday, March 19, the Chamber’s Young Professionals Group (YPG), in partnership with the Chazanoff School of Business and Blackstone LaunchPad at CSI, hosted a panel discussion at The College of Staten Island. The panel, entitled “How I Launched My Career Out of College,” was presented to a group of hand-selected 70 college juniors and seniors from the Blackstone LaunchPad at CSI.

YPG panelists included Eric Campione (P.A.C. Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning), Maureen Higgins (Eden II), Renee Sarno (YPG Council), Michael Savarese (Comserv Connect), and Kevin Brown (Staten Island FerryHawks). Tatiana Arguello (Nonprofit Staten Island, YPG Co-Chair) served as the event’s moderator.

During the event, panelists discussed topics including how to be successful early in one’s career, mistakes that they made and how they learned from them, recovering from failure, strategies for getting ahead, the significance of networking, work/life balance, mentorship guidance, and much more. Following the discussion, attendees were able to network with others attendees and the YPG council.
